Ingredients
Scale
- 1 bottle (750 ml) of white wine (such as Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, or Riesling)
- 1 cup peach schnapps
- 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 cup simple syrup (adjust based on sweetness preference)
- 3–4 fresh peaches, sliced
- 1 orange, thinly sliced
- 1 lemon, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup raspberries or strawberries (optional, for color and added flavor)
- 2–3 sprigs of fresh mint for garnish (optional)
- Ice cubes
- Club soda or sparkling water, to top off (optional, for a fizzy touch)
Instructions
Prepare the Fruit:
- Slice the Peaches: Wash and slice the peaches into thin wedges.
- Prepare Additional Fruits: Thinly slice the orange and lemon.
Mix the Sangria:
- Combine Wine and Peach Schnapps: In a large pitcher, pour the bottle of white wine and add the peach schnapps.
- Add Lemon Juice and Simple Syrup: Mix in the fresh lemon juice and simple syrup. Stir well to combine. Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less simple syrup according to your taste.
- Add the Fruits: Add the sliced peaches, orange, lemon, and if using, raspberries or strawberries to the pitcher.
- Chill: Let the sangria mixture chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight if possible. This allows the flavors to meld together.
Serve:
- Garnish and Serve: Once chilled and ready to serve, give the sangria a good stir. Pour the sangria into glasses filled with ice cubes, making sure to get some of the fruit pieces into each glass.
- Top Off with Club Soda (Optional): If you prefer a fizzy sangria, top off each glass with a splash of club soda or sparkling water.
- Add a Sprig of Mint: Garnish each glass with a sprig of mint for a refreshing aroma and a touch of color.
