Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper. This will help prevent the cookies from sticking.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy. This will build the foundation of flavor for your cookies.
  • Add the egg and vanilla extract to the sugar mixture, beating well to combine. This step introduces richness and a lovely aroma!
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to over mix!
