Preparation Steps

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks, for about 7-10 minutes.
  • Add the diced tomatoes, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Mix well and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
  • While the beef mixture simmers, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the beef mixture, cooked noodles, and 1 cup of the cheddar cheese. Stir until well combined.
  • Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and top with the remaining cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
