  • 1 large egg
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 0.25 cup molasses

Preparation Steps

  • Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, whisk together flour, brown sugar, ginger, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt until everything is well combined.
  • Next, melt the butter and mix it with the milk, egg, and molasses. Pour this mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined; be careful not to overwork the dough.
  • Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle. Spread with a bit more butter, sprinkle with sugar, and add a touch more cinnamon. Then, roll it up tightly and cut into equal slices.
  • Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, give them a bit of space, and then bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown and delightful.
  • While they’re baking, prepare a simple glaze with powdered sugar and vanilla mixed with a little milk until smooth. Once the rolls are done, drizzle this sweet glaze on top and savor the warm, comforting flavors.
