Preparation Steps
Start by preheating your oven to 375°F. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat and stir in the taco seasoning along with a splash of water. Allow it to simmer for a few minutes.
Layer the bottom of a baking dish with some of the salsa. Then, add a layer of the lasagna noodles, followed by half of the cooked beef mixture, refried beans, and cheese. Repeat the layers, finishing with noodles, the rest of the salsa, and a generous layer of cheese on top.
Cover the dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. After that, remove the foil and bake for another 5-10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Once done, let it cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve with a dollop of sour cream and a sprinkle of green onions on top for added freshness.
