Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cup crushed pretzels Make sure they are finely crushed for the best texture.
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup butter Melted for mixing with pretzels.
  • 8 oz cream cheese Softened to mix easily.
  • 1 cup powdered sugar For sweetness in the creamy layer.
  • 1 cup whipped topping Lightens up the creamy texture.
  • 2 cup strawberries Use fresh strawberries for the topping.
  • 0.5 cup strawberry gelatin For setting the strawberry topping.
  • 1.5 cup boiling water To dissolve the gelatin.

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed pretzels, sugar, and melted butter until well blended. Press this mixture firmly into a bottom of a 9x13 inch dish and bake for about 10 minutes, then let it cool completely.
  • Meanwhile, in another bowl, mix the softened cream cheese with the powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in the whipped topping gently to create a fluffy mixture. Once the pretzel crust is cool, spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crust.
  • Next, prepare the strawberry topping by dissolving the gelatin in boiling water. Add the fresh strawberries to the bowl and stir well. Once the mixture has cooled down a bit, pour it over the cream cheese layer.
  • Refrigerate the salad for at least 2 hours or until it sets completely. Serve chilled and enjoy this sweet and salty dessert at your next gathering!

Notes

This salad is not only a crowd-pleaser but also a fun way to enjoy dessert with a twist. Don’t hesitate to try adding other fruits with the gelatin!
