Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1.5 cup graham cracker crumbs Feel free to crush your own crackers!
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter Melted for combining.
  • 2 cup cream cheese Softened for easier mixing.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar Can adjust based on sweetness preference.
  • 3 large eggs Room temperature helps mix better.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract Adds sweetness and depth.
  • 1 cup pecans Chopped for the topping.
  • 0.5 cup corn syrup Light or dark, based on your preference.
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar Lightly packed for sweetness.

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter in a bowl, then press the mixture into the bottom of a greased baking pan to form your crust.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth, then gradually add the granulated sugar, mixing until well combined. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition, followed by the vanilla extract.
  • Pour the cream cheese mixture over your prepared crust and spread it evenly. In another bowl, combine the chopped pecans, corn syrup, and brown sugar to create the topping. Spoon this mixture over the cheesecake layer.
  • Bake the layers together in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes or until the center is set. Allow it to cool, then refrigerate for at least two hours before slicing and serving.
