Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups graham cracker crumbs You can crush your own or buy pre-made.
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar Adjust sweetness to your taste.
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, melted Ensure it's cooled slightly before mixing.
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened Let sit at room temperature for easier mixing.
  • 1 cup powdered sugar Sift for a smoother mixture.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract Use pure vanilla for better flavor.
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced Try to use ripe berries for the best taste.

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Start by preheating your oven to 325°F (163°C). In a bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter until evenly mixed. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a greased 9x13 inch baking pan to form a crust.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla, mixing until well combined. Spread this mixture over the prepared crust, smoothing it out evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes, or until the edges are slightly golden and the center appears set. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely in the pan.
  • Once cooled, top the cheesecake layer with the sliced strawberries. You can drizzle some extra melted butter or a glaze over the strawberries if you desire.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before cutting into bars. Enjoy these scrumptious treats cold for the best flavor!

Notes

These bars are best served chilled and can be topped with whipped cream for an extra indulgence!
